Dental caries
Dental caries are cavities in tooth enamel caused by acids produced by bacteria in the mouth which break down sugar and carbohydrates in food

Dental erosion
Erosion occurs when the tooth enamel is softened by the acid in food and drinks

Diet drinks (Low energy)
These are defined as drinks containing less than 20kcal per 100ml

Dilutable drinks
Dilutable drinks, sometimes referred to as "squash", are soft drinks purchased in concentrated form, to be diluted with water prior to consumption. They may contain fruit juice plus other ingredients such as colours, sweeteners and preservatives
