This year’s Industry Lunch will be held on
Tuesday, 24 September at the Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park, London
(http://www.mandarinoriental.com/london/).
Tickets are priced at £150 + VAT per person with a 5% discount
being offered on bookings of tables of 10 (ie £1425 +
VAT).
We are pleased to welcome Lord Digby Jones as
our guest speaker. Digby Jones served as Director-General of
the Confederation of British Industry, the UK's Voice of Business,
between 2000 and 2006 where he regularly and repeatedly visited
businesses in the UK and around the world taking their views back
to those who make the rules. He took the British business message
to over 60 different countries during his appointment. In July 2007
he was appointed Minister of State for UK Trade & Investment
and became a life peer taking the title Digby, Lord Jones of
Birmingham and, as ever, loyal to British business he spent the
next 15 months “doing it in a different way”. He did not join
the party of government and without the ambition to progress in
politics he continued on concentrating on the business of promoting
Britain across the world.
He is a corporate lawyer by background and
currently holds a number of senior corporate advisory positions. An
experienced speaker he can speak on a wide range of business issues
from international trade opportunities to the training & skills
required to cope with globalisation, drawing on his lifetime of
unique achievement having worked closely with governments all
around the world promoting British business. He is also a witty and
entertaining speaker with a wealth of anecdotes to draw upon
involving many of the famous people he has done business with over
the years

Sponsorship will be used to brand the event and promote sponsors to
member and non-member soft drinks companies alike. The main
incentive of our partnering sponsors is direct awareness and
exposure to a target group of distinguished clientele.
